The Releasing Book Collection
A daily releasing practice changes how you meet everything — work, money, health, people. The Collection is built so the practice takes care of itself: somewhere to start, the exact words when you need them, a voice when you would rather be guided, and something to release on every single morning.

Your digital library opens right away; the book, cards, and Attachments & Aversions Worksheet Pad ship to you.
Some days you want to understand it. Some days you want someone to walk you through it. Most days you just want something to do. All three are covered.
The reference releasers have been missing.
Most releases fizzle for one reason: you half-remember the question. This is the book that gives you the exact wording — fifteen chapters of it, with when to use each release and why it works.
Read it straight through, or open it to any page. Large format, laid out to be used rather than shelved, with illustrations for key releasing understandings.
At your option, author Hal Goldstein will sign and dedicate the book.
You can't remember a particular release or exercise. The whole book is searchable on your phone, tablet, or desktop, so the exact question is seconds away wherever you are.
Releasing along with someone is how you learn it. Start with the Basics Library.
Start here. Thirty guided releases and coaching sessions — five minutes to forty-five — drawn from the Cards Archive and the Listening Library and put back in the order the fundamentals are built in, chapter by chapter.
It is also where to come back to. When a release stops working, or you have not sat down in a month, this is the shortest way back to the ground.
Most people never find a quiet half hour to sit and release. You don't have to. The whole book read aloud by the author, so you can learn and release while you drive, walk, or cook — you hear the question, you let go, you keep going. The understanding and repetition is what makes it work.
Listen to the Prologue — Lester's story, in full
Reading tells you what the release is. Having your release guided is what makes it land — and that is the difference between knowing about releasing and being able to do it when you are upset.
Guided releases and one-on-one coaching sessions, chapter by chapter. Five minutes to forty-five, so there is one that fits the gap you actually have.
What you actually pick up on an ordinary morning.
Some mornings you know exactly what is bothering you. Most mornings you don't, and that's when the practice quietly stops. Let the deck choose and you are releasing inside a minute — every card ever published, each with its own five-minute guided release, or browse by chapter when you do know.
Draw one in the morning and your day has a practice. One card per chapter plus the prologue — the front carries the chapter's illustration and the release in Lester's own wording, the back gives you the understanding, a quote from releasing's founder, and three In Practice steps.
Work the sixteen in order and you have walked the fundamentals. Leave one on the nightstand and you have a reminder that isn't a screen.
For getting unstuck and manifesting your goals: weight, sleep, debt, a person, your to-do list — the topic you have released on before and it keeps coming back. A tear-off pad that takes you through both columns and all three levels, from stream of consciousness down to no attachments and no aversions.
Greetings,
You may already know that releasing works. The hard part was never the technique — it is remembering to do it. Releasing's founder, Lester Levenson, said, make releasing constant. That is what this Collection is for.
I have taught hundreds of classes and worked with thousands of releasers since 2015. I continue to teach Release Technique classes. Classes are the best way to learn to release.
I wrote this book because I wanted the reference I never had. What I want for you is simpler than anything in the box: that letting go stops being something you do when you remember, and becomes how you meet an ordinary day.
Happy releasing,

"Income skyrocked"
When I came to releasing, a fog pervaded my life -- at work, in my marriage, and with my kids. I felt stuck with suppressed baggage that I couldn’t let go of.
After learning to release with Hal Goldstein, my marriage got sweet, my kids have a present father, and I enjoy my work. My income skyrocketed. I feel in control and confident, able to focus and not afraid of what people will say.

"Practical, digestible steps"
I wanted to understand the science behind the Release Technique, which has helped me untangle so much of my counterproductive childhood programming. The RELEASING BOOK does just that, turning abstract concepts about consciousness into practical digestible steps for mastering daily life.

Answers to Your Questions about The Releasing Book
The Releasing Book Collection is for anyone who wants to accelerate their mastery of releasing by themselves and with a partner. While The Releasing Book and audio library can stand alone, I recommend taking Release Technique courses. The book serves as a reference for the wording of the different releases and an understanding of when and how to use them. Readers often use The Releasing Book as a workbook for working on goals and for digging out suppressed emotions and unhelpful thinking.
Like music or carpentry, releasing is a skill. Mastering any skill takes proper instruction, practice, and understanding. The understanding provided in this book augments and deepens the experience gained from taking Release Technique courses. If you decide to start releasing with this book, begin by listening to The Releasing Book AudioBook, The Releasing Basics Library, and Releasing Cards archive. Use the written book for reference and for deepening your understanding of the process.
I don't want anyone to think that because of the book's “thud factor” (the noise made when you drop the book) that releasing is difficult to learn or to practice.
Releasing comes down to a simple question:
Is that wanting approval, wanting control, or wanting safety?
Could you let go of that want?
Over the years, different releasing tools and exercises evolved and the understanding of the process deepened. I wrote the book to serve as a comprehensive companion for releasers and to make sure what works doesn't get lost.
While the book can be read from cover to cover, I suspect most people will use it as a reference that can be opened to any page.
I created The Releasing Book Collection (physical book, ebook and audiobook, cards, listening library) so that anyone could learn to release. Releasing is incredibly simple, and in its simplicity lies its power. It takes minutes to learn but like any skill, ongoing practice to master. The Releasing Book Collection provides proper practicing material to augment Release Technique courses. It's been a passion project for me, over 5 years of time and expense in the making. This is precious knowledge, and I want to make sure people have access to it for generations. Unfortunately, the book, cards, and worksheet pad are expensive, and I must charge shipping (some of which I absorbed).
Release Technique classes are normally a better solution than private coaching. Classes provide a powerful, safe place to release not only on your issues but on challenges and goals of other students. Students discover quickly that they are not alone, and their problems are not unique.
The only private coaching I currently do is with an Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. I teach classes through the Release Technique and locally in Fairfield, Iowa.
Releasing is a skill. Like any skill, it takes continual practice and different ways of learning to master. As useful and practical as the Collection is, if you only did one thing, I would recommend taking Release Technique courses on an ongoing basis. That said, listening and reading The Releasing Book provides a precise, step-by-step, in depth understanding of releasing, which strengthens the practice. The Releasing Book Collection includes a Basics Library to get started, a Listening Library of guided releases and coaching sessions, and the complete Releasing Card archive that reinforce that understanding.
